Whole Earth Festival

Do you believe in fate? Why are you in this world? What is the meaning of our destiny in the scope of the universe? What have we done wrong to cause all the troubles to our natural environment such as global warming? and what should we do to live in harmony with our mother nature again? This event will make you think about all the questions and change your life forever!

If you are ready to explore the questions above, or just want to have some fun watching amazing musical and dancing performance, Whole Earth Festival is right for you! There are also a lot of interesting stuff for kids.

Whole Earth Festival lasts for 3 days in this weekend, 5/6-5/8. Here is the summary of my previous visit:

(1) The booths in Quad are selling art pieces and eco-friendly products, mostly made by local manufacturer. It is a good place to buy "made in USA" stuff. It is the financial source for the event, because WEF does not get the support from UCD like Picnic Day. (day time)

(2) There are workshops in the big tents with a variety of topics that can be as common as fixing bikes and gardening, or as complicate as the environment crisis of CA and how to do meditation. (mostly at day time)

(3) The music performance featuring the local bands (day and night time)

(4) Solar stage: dancing at day time, and at night time, there will be very fascinating fire shows!

(5) Main stage: There are great shows emphysized on culture and religion, and the best one would be the fire ceremony in Saturday evening!

(6) Closing ceremony: It is around 5 pm on Sunday, a good review for the entire event.
